Don't Take it Personal...
So often we get wrapped up in an emotional response to something that was never intended as a personal affront. You have to remember that each one of us is dealing with our own garbage, our own dramas, and our own personal demons. The way a person speaks to you or speaks about you says more about them than it does about you. One of the biggest lessons I learned in corporate America is that it is NOT all about me. Someone who is lashing out is dealing with their own stressors. Someone who is gossipping is dealing with their own insecurities and has no idea what you are capable of.
The reality is, if we are confident in our own abilities and actions, then there is no need to get emotionally wrapped up in someone else's interpretation.
Take the high road. Be full of integrity and let karma take care of the rest.
